Role description:
The IT SAP MM/WM Application Analyst acts as an internal consultant for Ardagh Group’s SAP ECC ERP landscape and related sub-systems. The role is primarily responsible for designing, configuring, documenting, and supporting solutions within SAP Materials Management (MM) and Warehouse Management (WM).
Knowledge of SAP Production Planning (PP) is considered a strong advantage, particularly in manufacturing-integrated processes.
Responsibilities:
Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical IT specifications
Design, configure, and document SAP ECC solutions in MM and WM
Provide expert understanding of SAP MM/WM functionality and end-to-end integration
Actively support and communicate business process knowledge across Procurement, Inventory Management, Invoice Verification, Logistics Execution, and Warehouse Management
Proactively progress project or support requests according to SLA to include configuration of solution in SAP MM and SAP WM modules
Serve as the primary IT contact for functional business units and process owners for:
Application support
Change requests and enhancements
New process and system requirements
Understand and support complex, cross-functional business processes, serving as a subject matter expert
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for ERP system usage and performance
Lead or contribute to projects of varying size, involving both internal stakeholders and external partners
Coordinate and guide external consultants, ensuring optimal cost and value delivery
Align with other IT applications to integrate business and process functions into the ERP systems, providing interoperability between multiple IT systems
Design, execute, and coordinate test scenarios to ensure solution quality
Support and coordinate cross-team and cross-module integration activities
Monitor and manage outsourced application support services in collaboration with the ERP AMS team
Minimum skills / qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, business or other relevant fields
Ten (10) years of experience within SAP MM/WM. Good knowledge in SAP – PP is a plus
Strong integration knowledge with other SAP modules, including Production Planning (PP) (knowledge is a strong advantage), Sales & Distribution (SD), Plant Maintenance (PM), Finance & Controlling (FI/CO)
Experience working in highly customized SAP ECC environments
Solid debugging and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of other non-SAP ERP applications, e.g. SAP integrated systems
Proven understanding and knowledge of interfaces, IDOCs, and EDI integration
Knowledge of Web Services and punchout catalogs
Preferred skills / qualifications:
SAP MM and/or WM certification
Exposure to SAP PP configuration and manufacturing integration scenarios
ITIL knowledge or certification
Experience working in a global or international organization
Prior experience as a project lead or functional lead in SAP-related initiatives

The anticipated base annual salary range for this role is between $95,900.00 and $143,900.00 per year. This role is bonus eligible. The bonus incentive program is based on the company meeting or exceeding certain targets. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate and is only applicable for roles that are based out of Illinois. The final salary will be determined after considering relevant factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and work location, where appropriate.
