East West Staffing, Inc. (EWS) is currently seeking an experienced Material Handler. The Primary Purpose of this position will be to maintain inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, picking, staging and delivering parts in a construction environment. Maintaining a clean, secure and safe work environment.
Requirements of the Material Handler
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook, Materials Resource Planning (MRP) software and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with frontline employees, peers, and executives.
- Two years of experience in warehouse operations.
- Good customer service skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Stand up and sit down forklift experience is a must.
- Preference to a candidate with current or expired OSHA certification.
- Must be accurate when reading numbers.

Responsibilities of the Material Handler
- Verify all incoming shipments to bills of lading and packing lists.
- Receive inventory in the computerized system.
- Notify Purchasing and supplier of shortages.
- Place equipment in predetermined location.
- Input of Bill of Materials into inventory system to create picking slip.
- Pulling, staging and shipping of goods and part.
- Complete shipping documents in inventory system.
- Palletize the product and shrink wrap.
- Load product onto truck.
- Conduct physical count.
- Investigate discrepancies
Physical Demands
· This is a SAFETY FIRST environment.
· May be required to stand for long periods of time.
· May involve repetitive motions.
· Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
· May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of containers.
Pay rate: $20-24
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
