Legal Forwarding Representative
Creditors Adjustment Bureau (CAB) is looking for a Legal Forwarding Representative to join our forwarding team. CAB is a well-known national and international commercial collection agency. We represent clients from across the country and internationally, and we collect from businesses across the country and internationally.
A Legal Forwarding Representative is responsible for helping manage cases that have been forwarded to attorneys outside of California or the US for purposes of evaluation for litigation. Additionally, you will be communicating with our clients to update them on the litigation process as well as help guide them through the litigation process. This will include recommending (or not recommending) litigation, helping clients respond to discovery requests, aiding our attorneys in obtaining information from clients, making sure that our cases are on track with our attorneys, etc.
You must be highly organized, be a critical thinker, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. An overview knowledge of the litigation process is a must—you should know the following terms: Summons and Complaint; service of process; Answer; Counter-claim; Discovery; Judgment; Garnishment/Writ; etc.
Collection Agency forwarding or paralegal experience is a good background for this position, particularly if you have plenty of experience communicating with clients.
Compensation is commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, sick and vacation pay, and 401k with up to a 4% match.
