Job Responsibilities
- Implement the Creative Curriculum® framework to create engaging, play-based learning interest areas.
- Manage daily schedules and classroom routines across a standard Monday through Friday work week.
- Utilize the center's dedicated mobile app to send real-time daily updates, photos, and developmental reports directly to families.
- Actively engage with children indoors (including sitting on the floor for floor-time activities) and interact on the playground for up to one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon, weather permitting.
- Assist children with potty training, bathroom transitions, and independent self-care skills.
- Maintain visual and auditory supervision of children at all times, adhering strictly to SC staff-to-child ratios.
- Foster an environment of absolute respect for yourself, your coworkers, management, and the children and families we serve.
- Complete and track student observations and developmental milestones weekly.
Physical Requirements
- Must possess the physical stamina to stay active and engaged with children indoors and outdoors daily.
- Must be able to safely lift a child or a heavy supply box when necessary.
Position Requirements
- Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to and from work to ensure strict adherence to scheduled shift times (Required).
- Minimum Education: An Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a closely related field (Required). Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of verified experience working in a licensed daycare center (Required for both Associate and Bachelor degree applicants).
- Compliance: Must pass all SC state-mandated background checks, central registry checks, and fingerprinting via SC DSS.
- Credentials: Current Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date).

Our center is founded and directed by a veteran South Carolina educator with nearly 29 years of proven success in SC licensed childcare leadership. We believe in actively investing in our people.
