Job Summary: Coordinates material flow across production lines, maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring materials are available when needed. Supports continuous improvement, 5S initiatives, and mentoring of junior team members. Plays a key role in reducing production downtime through proactive inventory management.
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Perform all Level 1 duties independently and with accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels, analyze trends, and take corrective actions to avoid production delays.
- Organize and maintain material cages, racks, and job baskets for multiple jobs.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies in ERP or other systems.
- Mentor and train Level 1 coordinators and production staff on material handling and safety procedures.
- Lead or participate in daily toolbox talks and safety initiatives.
- Identify and implement process improvements to improve material flow, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
- Support cross-functional teams (production, purchasing, and quality) to ensure material readiness.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor team members.
- Forklift and equipment operation experience with demonstrated safety awareness.
- Effective verbal, written communication, and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related ERP systems.
- Efficient time management skills.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in supply chain or manufacturing preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in material coordination, warehouse operations, or manufacturing support.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 55 lbs., climb, bend, stoop, kneel, and stretch.
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders or lifts.
- Use of PPE required when handling materials or tools.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
