American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience, 2 years of travel experience, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring and NRP certifications.

Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital setting
-
Nights shift, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
-
Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
-
Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
-
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor

Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required, BSN or MSN preferred
-
Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required

Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience required

Certifications must be from the American Heart Association only

Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document responses to nursing interventions and treatments

Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
-
Administer medications and initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products
-
Interact with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge information
-
Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
-
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration

Returning workers may extend a contract one time for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying

Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as this facility does not allow push starts and strictly enforces compliance deadlines
