Job Purpose Statement: Perform welding operations on mild steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel components according to blueprints, shop orders, and quality standards to support production needs within the Welding Department.
Job Functions:
- Perform welding operations (MIG/TIG) on mild steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel parts according to blueprints and specifications.
- Review shop orders and blueprints to determine materials, weld type, quantity, and sequence of operations required.
- Set up welding equipment, adjust settings as needed, and select appropriate filler materials and tools for the job.
- Fit, tack, and weld components to meet dimensional, structural, and visual quality standards.
- Inspect completed welds for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.
- Use measuring tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain welding equipment, report maintenance needs, and keep work area clean and safe.
- Move materials using hoists, cranes, or other approved equipment as required.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Perform other related duties as assigned. Follow all safety rules and maintain an orderly work area.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
