About Brown Napa Valley
Brown Napa Valley is a family-owned, Black-owned, women-led wine company, and the first Black-owned estate winery in Napa Valley. Founded by siblings Deneen, David, and Coral Brown, we are home to three brands: our Brown Estate flagship, our Chaos Theory proprietary blend, and our House of Brown sister label, a fast-growing approachable premium label. We are a heritage wine company with a forward-thinking mindset.
We have three elegantly designed turnkey venues — our Brown Estate ranch, our Brown Downtown Napa tasting room, and our Brown Napa Valley HQ hybrid office+hospitality space.
The Opportunity
This is a revenue-generating role at the heart of a newly activated hospitality channel, a chance to build something and make your mark. We recently hosted an open house for event planners and destination managers, and we've opened a PerfectVenue account to scale our booking pipeline. Beyond events, there is an untended garden of corporate sales opportunity for both private events and wine waiting to be cultivated.
This opportunity is bolstered by the coming $300M Marriott Bonvoy property directly across Coombs Street bringing the only convention space in downtown Napa (anticipated opening in August 2027). Combined with several other neighborhood openings, we anticipate a significant uptick in event and corporate demand right at our doorstep. We're looking for a driven, entrepreneurial closer to capture it.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, as well as other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
What You'll Do
- Drive revenue: Own the full sales cycle for events and corporate accounts — from prospecting and inquiry through proposal, contract, execution, and final billing.
- Grow the pipeline: Build and nurture relationships with event planners, destination management companies, hotel concierges, and corporate buyers — including the new Marriott property across the street.
- Cultivate corporate accounts: Develop corporate sales for private events and wine programs (gifting, on-site experiences, custom orders), turning an untapped channel into a reliable revenue stream.
- Maximize our venues: Sell and program experiences across all three venues — the estate, Brown Downtown, and HQ — matching each client to the right setting.
- Build the playbook: Manage the PerfectVenue account and build repeatable systems, standards, and packages.
- Own the numbers: Track your pipeline, bookings, and P&L; forecast accurately; and partner with marketing, hospitality, and leadership to deliver elevated guest experiences.
- Be the face: Represent Brown Napa Valley as a warm, polished ambassador of our brand at site visits, industry events, and networking opportunities.
