Our customer is a large commercial and industrial interior wall contractor. with immediate need for experienced metal wall and drywall sheetrock mechanics and Foreman in Spartanburg county, SC area. Long term assignment with lots of overtime (working 6-7 days per week).
Required - OSHA 10 (Mechanic) OSHA 30 (Foreman) certification (for safety). Company Reimbursement for OSHA training cost.

Duties
- Measure and mark drywall sheets according to project specifications
- Hang drywall panels securely using appropriate fasteners and techniques
- Tape, mud, and finish drywall surfaces for smooth, seamless results
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Install additional components such as trims, moldings, and fixtures as needed
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, plumbing, and electrical teams to coordinate work
- Prepare surfaces for painting or finishing by applying caulking or plastering techniques
- Assist in the restoration industry tasks including water damage remediation and mold removal when required
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols on-site
Experience
- Prior experience in drywall hanging or related construction trades is highly preferred
- Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and schematics is advantageous
- Hands-on experience with plastering, framing carpentry, metal stud framing, and trim carpentry is beneficial
- Familiarity with fixture installation, flooring installation, tile laying, and painting techniques enhances candidate suitability
- Experience in the restoration industry or water damage restoration projects is a plus
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Previous work on construction sites with diverse building materials such as stucco, masonry, or drywall systems is desirable
- Handyman experience or general remodeling background will be considered an asset

Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install drywall panels according to project specifications and blueprints
- Secure drywall using hand tools, power tools, and fasteners, ensuring proper alignment and finish
- Assist with framing, metal stud framing, and other related carpentry tasks as needed
- Perform rebar installation, concrete forming, and masonry work when required on site
- Apply finishing techniques such as taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing for a smooth surface
- Operate heavy equipment and scaffolding safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas
- Read schematics and blueprints to accurately execute project requirements
- Collaborate with team members including carpenters, masons, welders, and project managers to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and using proper protective gear
Skills
- Proven experience in drywall hanging within commercial or residential construction projects
- Strong knowledge of metal building erection, roofing, siding, stucco, and restoration work is a plus
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, drills, trowels, and levels; familiarity with power tools is essential
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for precise installation
- Experience with heavy lifting and the operation of heavy equipment is advantageous
- Skills in framing carpentry, trim carpentry, woodworking, plastering, masonry, welding, and roofing are desirable
- Knowledge of construction management principles and site safety procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights on scaffolding or ladders
- Excellent teamwork skills along with strong attention to detail and craftsmanship standards

Must be able to lift 50+ pounds, work from a ladder or scaffold, work overhead, and perform without hindrance activities that involve repetitive reaching, stretching, squatting, kneeling, crouching, and/or bending. They must also be able to work in varied climate conditions, and should possess good balance, depth perception, eye-hand coordination, and the stamina to perform physically demanding construction work. Above all, a candidate must be able to safely perform the duties and responsibilities normally and reasonably expected of a tradesperson in their position.
