We are seeking an experienced Playground Builder to lead the installation of safe, durable, and engaging recreational spaces. You will handle projects from ground excavation through final safety inspections.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, site plans, and manufacturer installation manuals accurately.
- Operate heavy machinery including skid steers, mini-excavators, and trenchers.
- Assemble structural components made of wood, metal, and composite plastics.
- Perform site prep including grading, excavation, and drainage installation.
- Pour concrete footings and secure anchor bolts to safety specifications.
- Install safety surfacing such as poured-in-place rubber, engineered wood fiber, or turf.
- Ensure strict compliance with ASTM and CPSC playground safety standards. [1, 2, 3]
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1 years in commercial playground installation or carpentry/construction.
- Certification: Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) designation is highly preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency with power tools, transit levels, and reading grading plans.
- License: Valid driver’s license with a clean record; CDL is a plus.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Pay: $74.00 - $120.00 per hour
