Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and operation of a commercial property. The Maintenance Technician will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot building systems, complete repairs, maintain accurate records, and help ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment for tenants, visitors, and employees.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical abilities, attention to detail, professionalism, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and property assets.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair maintenance issues involving commercial property systems and equipment.
- Complete general building maintenance, including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and facility repairs as assigned.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and work orders.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other software for documentation and recordkeeping.
- Order and maintain inventory of parts, supplies, tools, and equipment as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with tenants, vendors, contractors, and management regarding maintenance activities.
- Assist with vendor coordination and oversight as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- One (1) to three (3) years of maintenance experience in commercial properties, facilities, industrial environments, or a related field.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and facility inspections.
- Ability to safely operate standard hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with electronic work orders, maintenance records, and CMMS software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices, regulations, and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements

- Ability to work in environments that may include noise, dust, heat, cold, and other typical maintenance-related conditions.
- Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in commercial property management maintenance.
- Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or building automation systems.
- Familiarity with work order management software and preventive maintenance programs.

Pay Transparency:
Pay Range: $20.00 – 22.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, skills, and business needs.
