Job Title: Freight Unloader
Job Type: Part-Time, Default M-F 7:30am-12N; sometimes until 4pm with 24-48 hours notice
Location: Temecula, CA
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Job Overview:
Ideal Fulfillment is seeking a physically strong, motivated and detail-oriented Freight Unloader to join our team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for unloading shipping containers, as well as providing general help around the warehouse. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring timely and efficient receiving of inventory for our customers. The default schedule is 7:30am-12:00pm Monday through Friday (22.5 hours per week), with additional support needed until 4PM some days, with 24-48 hours notice. There are also plenty of additional hours available if desired, including overtime, during the Q4 holiday season.
Responsibilities:
Primary - Shipping Container Unload
Work with 1-2 other team members to efficiently unload floor-loaded shipping containers by separating SKUs and palletizing accordingly.- Lift boxes (typically 20-50lbs) from various heights (overhead, chest-height, floor level) and place them on pallets.
- Separate boxes based on product SKU to create single-SKU pallets.
- Wrap finished pallets using automatic wrap machine, or manually with rolls of plastic wrap
- Compare unloaded quantities to customer’s packing list to verify full receipt, or report discrepancies
- Perform duties quickly and efficiently to reduce delivery driver’s wait time (goal is less than 3 hours for most containers)
Secondary - Other Warehouse Tasks
Operate the cardboard baler and condense cardboard waste- Perform Safety Checks
- Perform Inventory Checks
- Pick orders accurately and efficiently using hand-held scanners
- Pack orders securely and neatly for shipment
- Organize and maintain inventory in the warehouse by moving pallets to appropriate locations using a manual or electric pallet jack
- Organize and remove trash and other debris from the warehouse yard to maintain a clean appearance for visitors.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a warehouse setting is a plus but not required - training will be provided for all tasks
- Ability to lift, carry, and place up to 50 pounds repeatedly and from various heights, and stand for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and dependable - show up on time without last-minute call outs
