Job Summary
Pizza Guys is seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Lead to oversee daily restaurant operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and lead our team to success. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service knowledge, and a passion for delivering high-quality dining experiences. This role involves managing staff, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring efficient restaurant performance during shifts.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant activities, including food preparation, cooking, and serving.
- Oversee POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to ensure accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Manage inventory control to maintain stock levels and minimize waste.
- Train and develop staff members in food safety, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Monitor kitchen operations, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and quality control.
- Lead shift management by assigning tasks, overseeing workflow, and resolving operational issues promptly.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing guest concerns and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Assist in food production for dine-in, takeout, catering, or special events such as banquets or hospitality functions.
- Support restaurant management in budgeting, staffing schedules, and maintaining overall restaurant standards.
- Uphold cleanliness and safety protocols throughout the restaurant environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, kitchen management, or restaurant supervision within quick service or fast-food environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training, team management, and supervising operations.
- Background in hospitality management or food service management is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in casual dining or fine dining settings is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, inventory control, and food handling procedures.
- Experience with catering or banquet services is advantageous.
