POSITION SUMMARY
The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs that support the safe design, manufacturing, and delivery of pre-insulated supports and piping components. This role ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, industry standards, and company policies while fostering a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
Duties
- Develop and execute safety policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations to ensure regulatory compliance across all operations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments within manufacturing environments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Lead incident investigations by performing root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence through targeted training or process modifications.
- Coordinate and deliver comprehensive training programs on safety procedures, first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), OSHA requirements, and occupational health best practices for employees at all levels.
- Maintain detailed report writing for safety incidents, inspection findings, compliance documentation, and audit results to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness through ongoing training & development initiatives, safety meetings, and communication campaigns that motivate employees to prioritize health and safety daily.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, auditors, customers, and third-party safety consultants regarding safety compliance matters.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the company's health, safety, environmental, and operational objectives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and occupational health principles.
- Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and report writing effectively to support incident investigations and compliance documentation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver engaging training sessions and foster a safety-conscious workplace culture.
- Ability to conduct thorough inspections, risk assessments, and emergency response planning with attention to detail.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to lead change initiatives related to safety policies and procedures.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field preferred. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered
Experience:
- 3-5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience managing safety programs, initiatives, or personnel.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general industry safety requirements.
- Military experience preferred but not required
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
