Job Overview
We are seeking an entry level Die Setter to join our team at a manufacturing facility in Kentwood, MI. The candidate will be responsible for setting up and maintaining dies in plastic injection molding presses to ensure efficient production processes. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and have a natural understanding of how machines, tools, and other mechanical systems work.
Shifts available:
Monday - Friday: 2:30pm - 11:00pm
Sunday - Thursday: 10:00pm - 6:30am
Moderate overtime is expected for this role so frequent weekends are expected.
Responsibilities
- Set up and install dies onto stamping presses
- Adjust machine settings using logic controllers for proper operation
- Conduct CAM programming for die fabrication
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions of dies
- Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate setups
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools for die setting and maintenance
- Experience with stamping press operations and die setting procedures
- Knowledge of CAM programming for die fabrication is a plus
- Ability to work with precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
