Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and attentive service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, ensuring quick and efficient service
- Assist with drink and food preparation tasks when needed, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area and kitchen
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability for all sales
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques
- Clear tables promptly, bus tables efficiently, and ensure dining areas are clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
- Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper food handling, sanitation practices, and adherence to health regulations
- Support team members with basic math calculations for bills, tips, and inventory counts to ensure accuracy in all transactions
- Assist in maintaining a well-stocked front-of-house area by replenishing supplies and ensuring cleanliness standards are met
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are most important!
- Familiarity with quick service & fast food restaurant operations enhances your ability to thrive in our energetic setting
- Knowledge of POS systems; training will be provided
- Experience with food preparation, bussing tables, or cashiering in a café or retail grocery store is beneficial
- Strong time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order processing are essential
- A background in the food industry or restaurant experience helps you understand food safety standards and sanitation procedures
