Your responsibilities will include assisting in meal service, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and supporting the dietary department to deliver nutritious, delicious meals. Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining a positive, energetic attitude that enhances the guest experience
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
- Support dietary staff with meal assembly, portioning, and ensuring proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed
- Clear tables promptly, bus dishes, and assist with cleaning tasks to uphold cleanliness standards in dining areas and kitchen spaces
- Help with setting up dining areas for meals or special events, ensuring a welcoming environment
- Follow all food safety regulations and sanitation protocols to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and courteously
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food preparation, serving techniques, and sanitation practices
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy meal periods
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and food handling safety standards
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly approach to customer service
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team in fast-paced environments such as kitchens or dining rooms
- Experience with food safety certifications or training is a plus but not required
