American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 1+ year of experience for an acute care rehab services position requiring Cerner EMR experience and IL licensure.

Acute care hospital setting covering inpatient, swing-bed, assisted living, and outpatient services
-
Caseload breakdown is approximately 40% acute, 40% outpatient, 10% swing-bed, and 10% assisted living (all variable based on census)
-
Diverse patient population including general medical, CVA, hip fractures, post-op THR/TKR, adhesive capsulitis, tendon injuries, UE fractures, carpal/cubital tunnel, developmental delay, autism, sensory issues, and various syndromes

Pediatric cases are treated in the outpatient setting

Daily patient volume is highly variable based on census and scheduled hours

Day shift position with flexible scheduling of 5x8-hour or 4x10-hour shifts, or a combination of both

13-week contract

Charting performed in Cerner EMR

No current weekend or holiday requirements

Current, active OT license; IL licensure required if applicable

Minimum 1 year of OT experience

Generalist evaluation and treatment skills required to cover a broad range of patient diagnoses and care settings

Current BLS certification required

Provide evaluation and treatment services across inpatient, swing-bed, assisted living, and outpatient settings

Supported by 2 COTAs on the rehab team

Patient scheduling is coordinated by a department secretary based on clinical need identified by the therapist

Department-specific orientation provided

Required dress code is black scrubs or a black collared shirt with khaki pants
