Senior Transportation Planner
Help shape how people and goods move throughout Franklin County.
The Franklin Regional Council of Governments (FRCOG) is looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented Senior Transportation Planner to join our team. This full-time role is a chance to work on transportation projects that directly affect daily life across rural Franklin County—from safer streets and better walking and biking connections to well-maintained roads and resilient infrastructure.
We partner with local governments, state agencies, and residents to deliver practical, equitable, respectful, and high-quality services across the region. We welcome applicants with a range of backgrounds and perspectives who bring strong transportation planning skills and a commitment to public service.
Bachelor’s degree required and master’s degree preferred in planning, engineering or related field with minimum three to five years’ experience depending on education. FRCOG’s offices are located in the John W. Olver Transit Center in downtown Greenfield. With more than 50 staff, FRCOG operates a variety of programs including shared municipal services (like building and health inspection), emergency management and community health, in addition to all aspects of local and regional planning.
