Job Summary

Duties
- Lead and motivate the retail sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Manage daily store operations including inventory control, merchandising, stocking, and POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Oversee employee orientation, training & development, and supervising experience to foster a high-performing team.
- Conduct interviewing, recruiting, and onboarding of new staff members to build a skilled workforce.
- Handle purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and budgeting to maximize profitability.
- Ensure accurate payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and adherence to operational procedures.
- Maintain effective communication with staff through managerial communication skills and organize shift management for smooth store functioning.
- Implement inventory management practices including stock rotation, inventory control, and shrink reduction initiatives.
- Supervise cashiering activities and ensure compliance with phone etiquette and customer service standards.
- Utilize POS systems efficiently for sales transactions and operational reporting while managing wireless sales or grocery store product knowledge as applicable.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in retail or similar environments with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent organizational skills and time management abilities.
- Experience in retail industry sales team management including retail sales, merchandising, and inventory management.
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and purchasing protocols.
- Demonstrated leadership in training & development initiatives along with effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies, budgeting, and basic math for daily operations.
- Previous assistant manager or managerial experience in a retail store setting is preferred.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
