American Traveler is seeking a LVN/LPN for a Medical Surgical assignment at a correctional health facility in Illinois, requiring an active IL LPN license and experience in acute or ambulatory care.

Every other weekend (approximately 2 weekends per month) required

Charting via Cerner

This is a mandatory float facility — clinicians are required to float to any Cook County facility at the facility's discretion, with float locations not exceeding 50 miles from the assigned facility

13-week contract

Active Illinois LPN license required (no pending licenses)

Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program in the State of Illinois

Current BLS certification
-
Successful completion of an approved Pharmacology/Medication Administration course for Practical Nurses per IDFPR standards (documentation may be requested)

Minimum 2 years of recent full-time paid clinical experience in an acute care or ambulatory care facility preferred

COVID vaccination required — no exceptions

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

Navy blue scrubs required

Floating may occur across units, including outside of your primary area of competency; a team-based model is used when floating outside primary competency

Float notifications may be issued as little as 2 hours before a shift
-
RTO is capped at 5 days for the contract, with no more than 2 consecutive days off at a time
-
No RTO will be approved on weekends, on holidays, or on the day immediately before or after a holiday
-
No block scheduling or special scheduling requests will be accommodated
-
First-time travelers will be considered if they meet all qualifications
