Operator will be responsible for the setup, programming, and operation of our Wire EDM Utilize processes and tools to produce intricate parts and shapes with high-quality finishes within required specifications. Ensure conformance to specifications using company process. Complete all documentation required per company procedures.

Interpret specifications, including blueprints, models, and descriptions to set up tooling properly

Set up the EDM machines appropriately according to specifications

Program and utilize the EDM and oversee its operation

Utilize proper methods to inspect WIre EDM to ensure conformance

Set-up and operate production equipment to produce a product that meets internal and external customer requirements

Follow and continually monitor established safety procedures to assure a clean and safe work environment is promoted and maintained.

Provide quality in all goods and services delivered to internal and external customers through an approach of thorough planning, responsible implementation, and continuous improvement.

Understand & interpret prints, drawings & set up sheets

Set up & operate sinker EDM machines

Inspect work & complete documentation

Maintain quality control over the parts being EDM’d

Perform necessary maintenance & clean equipment

Minimum of 2 years previous experience programming and operating Wire EDM preferred

Have basic math skills

G D & T a plus

Experience interpreting sketches, blueprints, or models in a manufacturing environment

Ability to modify, programming on Wire EDM machines

Ability to inspect and verify conformance of machines to satisfy specifications

Relevant experience operating industrial mechanical equipment

Lifting and transport of materials (20 – 40 lbs.)

Ability to follow procedures

Ability to multi-task and run multiple machines

Have good communication skills & the ability to work well with others

Able to read micrometers, calipers, indicators & comparator

Travel not generally required
Wage Band for this role: $19.00 per hour to $ 29.00 per hour, based on experience.
Should this position be filled for 2nd or 3rd shift, a shift premium of $1.00 will be added to base pay.
