Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify insurance information, and facilitate efficient patient intake processes
- Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and coordinating follow-up visits using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Collect and record vital signs, medical histories, and current medications accurately to support clinical assessments
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies and assist providers during ENT procedures or examinations
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, administering medications under supervision, and documenting procedures in EMR/EHR systems
- Maintain organized medical records, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, and update ICD coding for billing purposes
- Support administrative duties including answering phones, managing patient inquiries, and handling paperwork efficiently
Experience
- Prior experience working in a medical office environment or outpatient clinic setting preferred
- Demonstrated ability to operate EHR systems effectively and manage electronic health records (EHR) with accuracy
- Familiarity with medical terminology, physiology knowledge, anatomy concepts, and pharmacology principles necessary for patient care support
