Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. This position is an entry level position with the possibility of full time hours and benefits down the road. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will interact with clients during deliveries. A strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic regulations is essential. We must remain DOT compliant so a DOT medical card will be required once hired.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and secure placement.
- Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts for heavy lifting and moving items.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws.
- Maintain accurate documentation of goods transported.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients upon delivery.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- During downtime you will be required to help maintain the warehouse / working stations and run necessary errands for the business.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- 6+ months of experience driving a box truck.
- Familiarity with route driving and knowledge of local roads is advantageous.
- Experience in warehouse operations, including the use of pallet jacks and forklifts, is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with moving goods.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
