Responsibilities
- Operate bindery machinery such as folding machines, guillotine cutters, perfect binders, and saddle stitchers to complete print finishing tasks efficiently.
- Set up and adjust equipment based on job specifications, ensuring accurate cuts, folds, and bindings.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the finishing process to maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with prepress and production teams to verify job specifications, including layout design, typography, and color management requirements.
- Manage material handling using forklifts or other equipment to move large quantities of printed materials safely.
- Maintain detailed records of job progress, machine settings, and quality inspections for traceability and accountability.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating bindery equipment such as folding machines, cutters, or binding machines in a manufacturing or print environment.
- Knowledge of print finishing techniques including folding, binding (perfect binding, saddle stitching), and trimming.
- Ability to troubleshoot machinery issues quickly.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control and precision finishing.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials safely and operate forklifts or similar equipment (certification preferred).

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
