Who We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- Must have been an active law-enforcement officer within the past 10 years
- Must have separated in good standing with your previous agency or department
- Possess LEOSA HR-218 Credentials (not mandatory, but preferred)
- able to obtain or possess current VA armed guard license with firearms endorsement
- Ability to pass a thorough FBI criminal background check
- Advanced small arms training and firearms proficiency
- Medical response training (first aid, CPR, stop the bleed)
- Experience with physical security measures (surveillance, access control, alarms)
- Strong threat identification and de-escalation skills

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a visible, active security presence on school grounds
- Patrol and monitor access points, conduct security checks
- Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies
- Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement security protocols
- Provide security guidance and support to students and staff
- Maintain firearm proficiency and adhere to safety and legal standards
- Identify security vulnerabilities and recommend improvements
- Apply de-escalation techniques to manage conflicts
- Conduct regular security assessments and stay current on best practices and legislation

Pay: $35.00 per hour
