A nationally recognized, award-winning AD100 design firm is seeking a Senior Interior Designer / Project Manager to join its luxury residential practice in New York City.
This is an opportunity to work on exceptional ground-up custom residences and large-scale renovations for a discerning clientele. The ideal candidate is a highly organized design professional who enjoys remaining hands-on throughout the design process while leading projects from concept through installation.
What You'll Do
- Lead luxury residential projects from initial concept through final installation.
- Develop design concepts, floor plans, construction documentation, and client presentations.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, artisans, and vendors.
- Oversee construction administration, site visits, and quality control throughout construction.
- Source architectural materials, finishes, lighting, plumbing fixtures, furniture, and custom millwork.
- Design custom furniture and collaborate with fabricators to bring concepts to life.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and client communication.
- Mentor junior designers while collaborating closely with firm leadership.
Qualifications
- 8-12+ years of professional experience in luxury residential interior design.
- Experience managing projects from concept through construction and installation.
- Excellent client presentation and communication skills.
- Experience sourcing high-end materials, finishes, and FF&E.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Studio Designer, and Google Workspace.
- Strong leadership, organization, and project management abilities.
