Overview
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Commercial Door & Hardware Pre-Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for pre-installing commercial hardware on wood, hollow metal, and FRP doors. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential. The goal is to contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long lasting buildings and products.
Duties
- Installing commercial hardware on doors
- Use hand tools, power tools, etc to fit door assemblies and related hardware
- Perform heavy lifting of doors, frames, and materials safely using hand while following proper lifting techniques
- Prepare doors for shipment
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Basic math skills (Decimals, Fractions, Addition, Subtraction)
- Ability to read and understand templates
- Willingness to always follow safety guidelines, and direction from supervisor
- Skilled in using hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers), power tools (drills, saws) and measurement tools
