Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Admissions Director to join our academy team. This role involves guiding prospective students through the admissions process, providing information about academic programs, and fostering a positive impression of our institution. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience working with students, and a passion for higher education. The Admissions Director plays a vital role in recruiting talented students and supporting their journey toward enrollment and academic success.
You will be responsible for students obtaining training on professional development skills, interview skills & communication skills. You will create a highly engaged learning environment that provides career coaching, work readiness support & instills confidence in the next generation of beauty professionals. Building rapport & professional relationships with currently enrolled students, as well as alumni is necessary to ensure we are providing the best professional development education here at the Academy. Deliver customer service & a positive attitude to all currently enrolled students, staff, industry professionals, clients and prospects with a commitment to student success and an overall positive educational experience at the Academy.
Admissions Responsibilities
- Conduct campus tours and presentations to prospective students and their families
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits, providing detailed information about programs and admissions procedures
- Assist with the application process, including reviewing documents and guiding applicants through requirements
- Collaborate with academic departments to ensure accurate program information is conveyed
- Attend recruitment events, college fairs, and community outreach activities to promote the university
- Maintain accurate records of prospective student interactions using Ellucian or similar education administration software
- Provide academic advising support by sharing information on degree options, prerequisites, and campus resources
- Develop and maintain relationships with high schools, community organizations, and other partners to enhance recruitment efforts

- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to present confidently to diverse audiences
- Experience working with students in an educational setting or higher education environment
- Knowledge of university programs, admissions policies, and education administration practices
- Proven recruiting experience with a focus on student engagement and enrollment growth
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
