We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and caring Afterschool Program Assistant to support children during our afterschool program located within a local elementary school. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in education, child development, recreation, or anyone who enjoys making a positive impact in children's lives.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage elementary-aged children in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Assist with organized activities, games, crafts, homework time, and outdoor play.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.
- Ensure children follow program expectations and school safety guidelines.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming program space.
- Provide support during snack time, transitions, and daily routines.
- Communicate concerns, incidents, or important information to program leadership.
Qualifications, Required Skills, & Attributes
- Genuine enjoyment of working with school-age children.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, recreation, tutoring, or volunteer setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
