About Us
Buffalo Granite & Marble is a family-owned stone fabrication company that has been serving Western New York for over 30 years. We operate four CNC machines that are critical to our production, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in keeping equipment clean, organized, and operating at peak performance.
Position Overview
This position focuses almost exclusively on the cleaning, preventative maintenance, and upkeep of our CNC machines. The goal is to reduce downtime, extend machine life, and ensure our equipment is always production-ready.
No programming or machine operation experience is required, but strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on four CNC machines
- Thoroughly clean machine interiors, worktables, guards, and surrounding areas
- Remove slurry, stone debris, and buildup from machines
- Clean and inspect tool holders, tool changers, and spindle areas
- Lubricate components according to maintenance schedules
- Replace filters, inspect hoses, belts, fittings, and wear items
- Check coolant, lubrication, and water systems
- Identify leaks, unusual wear, or mechanical issues before they become major repairs
- Keep detailed maintenance records and completed checklists
- Assist with minor mechanical repairs as needed
- Work with management to continuously improve equipment reliability and cleanliness
Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working around industrial machinery
- Experience with preventative maintenance is preferred but not required
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Experience in manufacturing, automotive repair, industrial maintenance, equipment service, or similar hands-on work is a plus.
