Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products to customers across designated routes, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe driving practices
- Plan efficient delivery routes using organizational skills and route driving knowledge to maximize productivity and minimize delays
- Engage with customers courteously, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions
- Handle heavy lifting and automobile transportation tasks with proper safety techniques, including safe lifting practices and proper merchandise merchandising
- Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, utilizing sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and company revenue
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs of deliveries, pricing details, and route records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to report issues, update delivery statuses, and coordinate route adjustments as needed
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving preferred
- Strong math skills for handling pricing calculations and transaction processing
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; familiarity with safe lifting practices is essential
- Knowledge of route driving, merchandising, and organizational skills for efficient deliveries
- Experience or background in military service is a plus, demonstrating discipline and reliability
- Familiarity with DOT regulations governing commercial transportation is highly desirable
