American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position at a Level 1 Trauma, academic teaching hospital, requiring interventional scrub experience and a valid MO or compact RN license.

Work in the Cath Lab of a large, short-term acute care hospital with 1,266 staffed beds
-
High-volume, high-acuity procedural environment managing diagnoses including AMI, NSTEMI, chest pain, heart failure, aortic stenosis, V-Tach, Afib, endocarditis, peripheral vascular disease, and sick sinus syndrome

1:1 patient ratio

Rotating 4x10 schedule with shifts covering 0700–1730 (standard and late) and 1000–2030 (close), as needed per unit

Every other weekend required
-
Rotating on-call required, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, subject to change based on unit needs

Floating within service line required

Epic EMR used; Epic experience is required

Specialized equipment includes Impella and IABP
-
Block scheduling is not available for this position

Active MO RN license or compact RN license (must be in hand at time of consideration; pending IL license may be accepted with notation)

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required

Interventional scrub experience required

Experience in a Level 1 Trauma, high-volume, high-acuity Cath Lab strongly preferred

Proficiency with Epic EMR required

Experience with Impella and IABP preferred
-
RN Circulator role supporting diagnostic and interventional PCI procedures, including administering conscious sedation under attending direction, handing off sterile supplies, assessing vitals, and documenting in Epic
-
Cross-training to run hemodynamics in a monitor tech role is likely

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation

Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler

Standard travelers may work up to 18 months continuously, after which a 3-month break is required

Navy scrubs are required
