Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Handle various cleaning agents safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and maintain floor care standards to ensure a polished appearance
- Manage heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or supplies with proper manual handling techniques
- Maintain sanitation standards by properly disposing of waste and replenishing supplies in line with hotel policies
- Use janitorial equipment efficiently, including vacuum cleaners, mops, and other cleaning tools
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with strong janitorial expertise
- Skilled in floor cleaning, floor care, and general cleaning practices to uphold cleanliness standards
- Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while maintaining safety protocols
- Excellent customer service skills to interact politely with guests and team members
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures and sanitation requirements.
- Physical ability for heavy lifting, manual handling, vacuuming, and extended periods of standing or walking
