The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island, invites applications for a one-year, full-time, non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry position beginning August 1, 2026. We are seeking candidates who are committed to active and engaged learning and who employ inclusive practices in undergraduate teaching. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is accredited by the ACS and its biochemistry degree is also accredited by the ASBMB. Our facilities recently underwent a major renovation/expansion, giving us state-of-the-art space for lecture and laboratory teaching. The College continues to make progress in its commitment to building a culturally diverse and welcoming educational environment. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is especially interested in applicants who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching.
