- Clinician provides community based therapeutic services to children, adults and their families with behavioral health diagnoses to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes.
- Clinician provides crisis intervention, short-term, & long-term clinical and counseling services that are strength-based, evidence-based, solution focused, and interactive
- Clinician provides mental health services within the community.
- Clinician provides initial assessments through interviews, observation and tests.
- Clinician reviews assessments and re-assessments of clients presenting for mental health treatment services.
- Clinician monitors consumer’s progress and compliance with treatment.
- Clinician develops and writes individualized treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner when needed. The Clinician also reviews and revises treatment plans in a timely manner.
- The Clinician responsibilities also include active facilitation, coordination, and follow-up with referrals and resources as needed.
- Clinician maintains confidentiality of records relating to each client’s treatment.
- Clinician encourage clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives and help them to develop insight into themselves and their relationships.
- Clinician guides clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems.
- Clinician prepares and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
- Clinician participates in team staffing meetings when scheduled.
- Clinician maintains appropriate caseloads to meet productivity expectations.
- Clinician attends outpatient staff meetings for agency communication, clinical consultation and training.
- Clinician coordinates the provision of clinical services for patients with other programs and /or medical services
- Clinician must have strong communication and computer skills.
- Clinician must have reliable transportation.
- Clinician must have or be able to obtain professional liability insurance.
- Clinician will attend community outreach events as needed
The Successful Applicant:
- LPC, ALC, LMFT, LICSW-May be eligible for free licensure supervision
- At least one-year post license clinical experience; at least three years preferred but not required
- Excellent assessment, crisis intervention, clinical and counseling skills
- Client focused and results- oriented
- Ability to work collaboratively with other health professionals to actively coordinate services
- Flexibility, accessibility and responsiveness are top priority
- Skilled in verbal and written communication
- Familiar with technology for communication, billing, and appointment scheduling
- Participation on insurance panels required
