Slab City St. Louis is a locally owned neighborhood trading card shop in Chesterfield, Missouri, built by collectors, for collectors. Whether someone stops in to rip a pack, trade cards, talk sports, or hunt for their next grail, we want every customer to feel welcome.
We're looking for a friendly, dependable Store Manager who enjoys working with people and wants to help create a fun, welcoming environment for collectors of all ages. If you love building relationships, take pride in your work, and want to be part of a growing local business, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Welcome customers and provide exceptional customer service
- Buy, sell, and trade trading cards and collectibles
- Help customers find products and answer questions
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the store
- Keep displays stocked, organized, and looking their best
- Open and close the store
- Process purchases, trades, and online orders
- Maintain inventory and assist with product pricing
- Help with trade nights, product releases, and community events
- Work alongside the owner to help Slab City St. Louis continue to grow
We're Looking For Someone Who Is
- Friendly, outgoing, and enjoys connecting with people
- Honest, dependable, and self-motivated
- Organized and able to multitask
- Willing to learn about the hobby (or already a collector!)
- Comfortable working in a retail environment
- Excited to be part of a small, locally owned business where every day brings something new
Retail experience is preferred but not required. Experience with sports cards, Pokémon, One Piece, Magic: The Gathering, or other collectibles is a plus, but we're happy to teach the right person.
Schedule
- Full-time salaried position (40 hours per week)
- Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays
- Some evenings may be required for product releases and special events
Compensation & Benefits
- $40,000 annual salary
