Great River Care Center is seeking a Part-Time with the potential for Full-time Director of Nursing for Assisted Living to provide clinical oversight and support safe, high-quality care for our Assisted Living tenants.
This is a great opportunity for an RN who enjoys working with older adults, supporting caregivers, and using strong clinical judgment in a more flexible, part-time role. The Administrator will oversee overall facility operations, while this position will focus primarily on nursing oversight, tenant assessments, service plans, delegations, documentation, and staff support.

Complete tenant assessments and reassessments

Assist with individualized service plans

Complete and monitor nurse delegations

Provide clinical guidance and education to Assisted Living staff

Support staff competency and safe care practices

Assess tenant responses to medications, treatments, and changes in condition

Communicate with tenants, families, providers, pharmacy, and care partners as needed

Assist with move-ins, transfers, discharges, and level-of-care reviews

Identify concerns and follow up appropriately

Maintain accurate documentation and support regulatory compliance
Work cooperatively with the Administrator and leadership team
Requirements

Current RN license in the State of Iowa required

Graduate of an accredited nursing program required

Long-term care, assisted living, geriatric, or supervisory experience helpful

Strong communication, assessment, documentation, and follow-through skills

Ability to work independently and support staff in a respectful, practical manner

Comfort with electronic health records and basic computer systems
Willingness to complete required Assisted Living and facility-provided training
Schedule may vary based on assessments, delegations, tenant needs, staff support, and required follow-up.
