Located in The Nations, Urban Dog Bar is a member-based, off-leash dog park, and food & drink establishment. We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Check-In Attendants, or as we like to call them, “Canine Concierges”! As the face of Urban Dog Bar, you will be the first point of contact for guests and their pups. This role is about more than check-in. It is about creating a warm welcome, building relationships, and driving excitement around our memberships, events, and retail offerings. If you thrive in social settings, love dogs, and have a knack for customer engagement, this is the role for you.
Requirements:
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- At least 18 years of age
- 1 year experience in customer service, sales, retail, and/or hospitality industry
- Proficient computer and data-entry skills
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Flexible schedule and the ability to work during peak holiday periods, including nights and weekends
- Passion for animals and our mission to create an exceptional experience for pets and their owners
- Team and people-oriented with a friendly and positive attitude
- Ability to follow direction of supervisors and managers, and willingness to learn and ask for help when needed
- Comfortable engaging with dogs of all breeds and sizes
Position Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Guest Experience & Customer Service
- Warmly welcome all human and canine guests, ensuring a seamless check-in process in line with UDB policies.
- Provide outstanding service by answering questions via phone, email, and in person.
- Foster a sense of community by building long-lasting relationships with dogs and their owners.
- Share information about memberships, upcoming events, specials, and member perks to drive engagement and retention.
Sales & Engagement
- Educate guests on membership options and help them choose the best fit
- Share information about upcoming events, specials, and member benefits to boost engagement and retention
- Represent the UDB brand with energy and positivity, creating moments that encourage return visits
Park Facility & Care
- Maintain a welcoming, clean, and organized lobby, retail space, and restrooms.
- Restock and merchandise products to ensure a visually appealing retail environment.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth entry and exit for every dog.
- Monitor dogs as they enter and exit to support safety and compliance with UDB policies.
- Maintain accurate records of guests and their dogs to ensure eligibility for park access.
