Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in autism evaluations to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, provide evidence-based interventions, and support individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Your expertise will help inform diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing care for diverse populations across outpatient and inpatient settings. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for individuals suspected of having autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Administer and interpret psychological testing, including cognitive, behavioral, and developmental assessments.
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and behavioral health strategies tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Provide mental health counseling and psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with diverse diagnoses, including trauma-related disorders, PTSD, addiction issues, and disabilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines.
- Offer telehealth therapy sessions utilizing secure platforms to expand access to mental health services across various settings.
- Maintain accurate medical records, document patient progress meticulously, and ensure timely completion of all clinical documentation in accordance with medical records standards.
Experience
- Licensed Clinical Psychologist with current certification in good standing.
- Proven experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders and neurodevelopmental disabilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in mental health diagnostics, psychological testing, and individual psychological assessments.
- Prior experience providing mental health counseling in outpatient or inpatient settings; hospital experience is highly desirable.
- Skilled in crisis intervention techniques with the ability to manage acute situations effectively.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and delivering therapy remotely while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Strong background in child & family counseling, group therapy, and working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, and school-aged children.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice approaches such as behavioral health interventions, trauma-informed care (including PTSD), addiction counseling, and psychotherapy modalities aligned with clinical ethical guidelines.
