### Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our medical team for Friday coverage. We are an orthopedic surgery, private practice. As an X-ray Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray and other imaging equipment. Your expertise will contribute to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans for our patients.
### Duties:
- Perform X-ray imaging procedures on patients as directed by physicians
- Operate X-ray and other imaging equipment to capture high-quality images
- Position patients correctly and ensure their comfort during the imaging process
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment during procedures
- Review images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide diagnostic evaluations
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in imaging technology and techniques
### Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in performing CT scans, sonography, and other diagnostic imaging procedures privy to an Orthopedic practice.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Familiarity with aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during procedures
- Ability to accurately position patients for optimal image capture
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality images are obtained
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
