Summary:
St. Joseph Catholic Church in Houston is seeking a Director of Faith Formation to lead and oversee its
comprehensive faith formation programs for children, youth, and adults. This full-time role involves
organizing and implementing spiritual education initiatives, sacramental preparation, retreats, and
catechetical training. The Director will collaborate closely with the pastor, parish staff, and volunteers to
foster lifelong spiritual growth, promote active participation in the Church, and support evangelization
efforts. The position requires a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church who has a strong
commitment to Church teachings and a passion for nurturing faith within the community

Qualifications/requirements:
Undergraduate degree in theology or diocesan catechetical certificate
- Proficient in English and Spanish, oral and written
- Safe Haven (safe environment) training and background check
- Practicing Catholic, in good standing with the Catholic Church, embracing Church teaching fully.
- Full time position (40 hours) with benefits.
- Availability and flexibility to work weekends and evenings
and integrate effectively all parties involved and served in the ministry. Capacity for empathic
