Responsibilities
- Diagnose hardware and software issues across various devices including desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones running Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows operating systems
- Perform repairs on computer hardware components such as motherboards, hard drives, RAM, power supplies, and peripherals using hand tools and soldering techniques when necessary
- Troubleshoot software problems related to operating systems, applications, and device drivers to restore optimal device performance
- Disassemble and reassemble devices carefully following schematics and technical manuals to replace or upgrade components
- Provide technical support to clients both in the field and in retail settings by explaining repair processes clearly and offering maintenance advice
- Use analysis skills to identify root causes of device malfunctions quickly and accurately
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings for each device serviced
Skills
- Proficiency with Android, iOS, macOS, Windows operating systems, and mobile device troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and repair techniques including soldering and schematics interpretation
- Experience with using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, anti-static wrist straps, and other specialized equipment for repairs
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues efficiently and develop effective solutions
- Excellent communication skills for providing clear technical support to customers or team members
- Familiarity with field service operations in retail or on-site environments
- Knowledge of software troubleshooting procedures across various platforms
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining high-quality standards
