FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the I.T Director, installs PC hardware and software, troubleshoots, and assists users with day-to-day computer issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Answer calls via the Helpdesk assisting users with their computer problems, forgotten passwords, and other issues.

Install new and/or upgraded hardware and software as assigned.

Regularly perform preventive maintenance on hardware and software.

Troubleshoot hardware and software problems as they occur on current Windows based systems.

Install, secure, and maintain Microsoft Windows desktop operating system.

Intermediate understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VPNs, DHCP, DNS, vLANS.

Intermediate experience supporting peripherals: installing drivers, share printers, and USB power management.

Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.

Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate.

Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.

Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.

Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.

Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.

Regular predictable attendance is required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION LEVEL:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
LANGUAGE:
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 1 year computer and peripheral repair experience required.
Minimum 1 year experience with AS400 / IBM Series, Microsoft Office, Outlook required.
Minimum 1 year experience in a casino environment preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Advanced understanding of Windows server environments; Active Directory, Group Policy, drive mappings, logon scripts, and user permissions. VMWare ESXi experience required. Understanding of VDI concepts, and migration of windows workstations preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Employee Gaming registration required.
PHSYICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time
Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.
Fine finger manipulation.
Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
