Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Toast
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in sales processing
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including bussing tables and resetting stations
- Assist with food handling, preparation support, and ensuring food safety protocols are followed
- Demonstrate knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail recipes, and beverage service techniques
- Engage with guests to foster positive relationships and handle guest inquiries or concerns professionally
- Support team members as needed during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is advantageous
- Experience with fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is a plus
- Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques required
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume shifts
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to process cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for handling bills, tips, and sales transactions confidently
- Experience in food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
