Responsibilities
- Perform thorough floor cleaning and floor care using appropriate equipment and chemical agents to ensure surfaces are spotless and safe for guests and staff
- Handle cleaning tasks across various areas including guest rooms, hallways, public spaces, and service areas with precision and efficiency
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and extractors while adhering to safety protocols
- Manage chemical handling safely by following Safety Data Sheets (SDS) guidelines and using proper protective gear
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks related to linen, supplies, or equipment transportation within the property
- Support hotel housekeeping management by maintaining sanitation standards and ensuring timely room turnovers
- Respond promptly to emergency procedures related to hotel safety, including spill management or hazardous material incidents
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services with a focus on industrial or custodial cleaning
- Strong knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and chemical handling procedures
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively in a hospitality environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and staff alike
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) compliance
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, vacuuming, and prolonged standing or walking
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and support overall hotel housekeeping management
