Title: Kids Zone Assistant - Crisis Nursery and Adoption Respite Aide
Responsibilities: Be prompt and reliable when working shifts, provide child care and basic day-to-day functions in the Adoption Respite and Crisis Nursery program.
KZ Assistant will be available to be on-call as requested or scheduled. Ideal candidates will have experience working with children, proactively worked with families as well as relationship building.
- Provide attentive, nurturing child care according to the Family Support Center policies and licensing requirements. Ensure that children’s basic needs are met through:
- Preparing and serving nutritious snacks and meals.
- Direct interaction and close supervision of each child.
- Planning and implementing individual/group child activities.
- Positive behavior management.
- Age appropriate needs such as bathing, bedtimes/naptimes, and changing diapers.
- Warmly greet both parents as well as children by name as they arrive, introducing self as if they are new to you.
- Maintain strict cleanliness and sanitation of area and equipment according to the department of health.
- Answer and log telephone calls as needed, providing respite scheduling, program information and referrals.
- Perform additional duties as needed and/or requested.
