Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting and HR Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a role both in accounting responsibilities including invoicing and billing along with managing various HR functions, including payroll generation, employee on-boarding and compliance with labor laws. This position requires a sound understanding of financial services and accounting principles, as well as some proficiency in financial software. The candidate will work closely with management to achieve financial success and that our HR practices align with the company's goals to effectively support the business.
Responsibilities
- Generate client invoices and new landscape proposals.
- Gather and record vendor billing (invoices and/or receipts).
- Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain employee records and ensure accurate documentation of personnel files.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, providing necessary training and orientation.
- Address employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and workplace issues.
- Collaborate with management to assess staffing needs and develop strategies for talent acquisition.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development initiatives.
- Support financial management tasks such as tax preparation, insurance audits and annual renewals.
Skills
- Knowledge of financial services and governmental accounting practices.
- Proficiency in financial software, particularly Quickbooks Desktop and Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills for effective client and employee relations.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Knowledge of HR best practices and labor laws.
- Experience in clerical tasks related to job functions.
