Responsibilities
- Manage access control systems to authorize entry for employees, vendors, and visitors while verifying identification and credentials.
- Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV cameras and other monitoring equipment to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations by following established protocols, including fire safety procedures, first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other incidents accurately and clearly.
- Utilize conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management skills to handle disputes professionally and maintain a calm environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields with knowledge of physical security practices.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, Taser use, firearm handling, and emergency response procedures is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and access control systems.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for safety or operational needs.
- Strong incident report writing skills with attention to detail and clarity.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with conflict management abilities to interact professionally with staff and visitors.
- Knowledge of compliance with security regulations and protocols relevant to dispensary or healthcare environments.
