Food Service Worker - Floater - District - School Year 2026-2027

Position Summary:
To assist in the preparation and serving of quality food to students in a quick and pleasant manner.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); previous experience with large-scale cooking and food preparation/serving. Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check eligibility required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities outlined below are representative and do not encompass or define all tasks that may be required by this position.

Assists with quantity food preparation;

Assists with the cleaning of the kitchen and cafeteria area;

Assists with the daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and sanitary conditions are met;

Sets up and breaks down serving lines (salad bar, hot food, ala carte etc.);

Operates cash register, dishwasher, meat slicer and other food service equipment; and
-
Collects money, makes change, completes related reports.
